We write to you today to formally advise that the Casterton Kelpie Association has made the responsible decision to cancel our event for 2020.

Whilst this is a great disappointment for all involved and for our community, the committee have been left with no option as the COVID-19 situation in Victoria is still not contained.

We sincerely thank you for your support and patience as we have navigated our way through these uncertain times.

The Casterton Kelpie Association will now put all its energy into working towards our event in 2021, which will be significant as we celebrate the 25th Year of the Working Dog Auction.

Having started under the organising committee of the local Apex Club in 1996 at the local Saleyards the event has grown into something quite amazing which is now recognised across the nation as the annual Australian Premier Working Dog Auction.

In 2021 we will also have another significant milestone as we will hit the $3mil mark of working dogs sold at the annual auction. As at the 2019 Working Dog Auction the total amount sold was $2,912,709.00 – so this will be broken at the 2021 Auction.

The Casterton Kelpie Association would value your support at the 25th Australian Kelpie Muster in 2021 and we will be in touch with you to discuss our plans for 2021 soon.

In the meantime please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Rachael Jamieson with any queries at secretary@castertonkelpieassociation.com.au

Yours sincerely,

Karen Stephens
